Our foam signs are also one of the most versatile sign types. They can be either wall mounted or freestanding and depending on the logo even floating. Foam letters, as well as acrylic, metal, and cast metal letters are classified as dimensional letters or dimensional signs. Foam Thicknesses
Foam sheets come in a variety of thicknesses. Here at Logo Sign Shop, we fabricate with the following standard thicknesses,
- 2 inch, 4 inch, 6 inch, 8 inch, 10 inch or 12 inch
Other thickness can be ordered, such as
- 16″ , 20″, 24″ or desired layered combination.
Choosing the right thickness for your sign will depend both on the size and the application. For wall mounted foam signs, we recommend depths of one to three inches thick. For freestanding foam displays, we recommend thicknesses of either four to twelve inches thick.
The final thickness or dimension can be acomplished with several layers of different thicknesses. Clear acrylic can be sandwithced in between foam layers in some cases when the logos have floating pieces.
We can create foam bases with any dimension. We will position your logo or individual letters on the base and if needed the base front face.

Foam Colors and Finishes
Here at Logo Sign Shop, we can reproduce your foam sign to reflect your business identity. For solid colors, our fabricators can paint your letter and logo sign to your specific PMS color. If your logo has a gradient, a pattern or three dimensional effect, we can apply digitally printed vinyl to a PVC face and glued to the sign face. This adds a more polished look, we can even laminate materials such as silver or gold brushed aluminum to the sign face.
How much are our foam logo and letter displays and how to order?
Basic
Foam is cut and no additional finish. This is good for DIY.
Standard
Both letter sides and face painted to match exact PMS color with no additional face material.
Smooth Styrene Face
Letter sides painted to match exact PMS color with a white styrene face laminated to the foam.
Colored Vinyl or Digitally Printed Vinyl Face
Solid color or custom artwork digitally printed and laminated to a styrene face.
Metal Face
Silver or gold brushed .040 aluminum face laminated to the foam.
You can add a medium or hard coat to any of the options.

How to order foam logos or letters?
We have experience of making foam displays for more than 7 years, this makes us experts at guiding our customers to choose their displays from four general categories. If you do not know how to represent your logo in a 3-Dimensional look, this can help to decide how to order a foam sign display.
What are the most common foam display categories:
OPTION 1. – Standing Individual letters for expos or stage floor. This category is very common and recommended to use when you have no more than 4 or 5 letters. If your letters are standing with the purpose to be photographed next to people, it will be most likely that the letters will be pushed, and you will need to be constantly rearranging them because they were moved or turned.
OPTION 2. – Letters mounted on a base. Bases are fabricated with foam or metal.
Option 2.1 – Foam Base. This option is recommended for displays with many letters. Advantages of having a foam base is that your letters will be highlighted and visibly taller. The base can be done in a second contrast color.
OPTION 2.2 – Metal Base. Letters will be able to be removed and re-set on the base for several events. The aluminum fabricated base includes an aluminum tubing frame structure. The aluminum base is strong and lasting for multiple uses and several years. Metal bases can display taglines or logos fabricated on vinyl.
OPTION 3 – Logos fabricated as a cloud backplate. A Cloud sign is fabricated with one or two dimensions. This option is for a flat cloud logo; it is preferred when the event requires a standing dimensional display with a digital print laminated to the cloud backplate. If you want to order a display as this Option 3, refer to a backplate outlined flat artwork. The printing matches the outside shape of the display and is applied to a 1/8″ PVC substrate laminated to a matching foam shape.
OPTION 4. – Backplate cloud logo with dimensional layers for dimensional art and colors. The backplate on this option is normally fabricated thicker than the letters or artwork on the front. The reason for this is because the backpiece holds the front weight.
